Architecture Degree Portfolio
In the whole of semester 1 in Architecture degree, I have exposed myself to many architecture terms and have expanded my knowledge about architecture. In terms of soft skills, I have learnt to communicate better with different people, and also to present well to a group of people, known or unknown.
For Design Studio 1, I have learnt to identify the key architectural elements and principles to inform space and form. I also have been able to relate my personalities into an experential space. I have also learnt to make and visualize architectural models and to communicate them into the final design and presentation.
For Design Communication, I have learnt to be able to construct proper architectural technical drawings such as floor plan, elevations, sections, perspectives and axonometry. Besides that, I have also learnt many techniques in rendering a building throughout the whole semester.
Summary
For Building Materials, I have learnt many new materials which I have never seen before thus expanding my general yet useful knowledge. I have also learnt many physical properties of the new materials, and how they are applied into the construction.
For Architecture Culture and History 1, I have been exposed to different sorts of architecture around the world from the ancient civilisation. I have also learnt about their respective histories and the wonders on how they built their buildings in their civilisations. Other than that, I have also learnt to make a balsa wood model of an ancient Greek temple, known as Temple of Segesta, located in Italy today.
